far
Hello people - bought an extrernal USB hard drive the other day and when I plug it in it and attempt to transfer data it brings up a message saying that I have a slower USB drive to the product I am using - I reckon the USB drives are running at USB1 speed, when I go to install sp2(which I beleive has the updates for USB2) it wont let me do anything as I have hooky xp pro - anyone got sp2 on cd or tell me where I can download sp2 from ?(which doesnt need me to validate my key) I did a search on limewire and theres loadsa of sp2 patches and keys but I doint know whether to trust them

MaveriK
have a look around for XPProCorp-keyChanger as this will validate your XP if you enter a valid code. I dont have my cd's/keys with me so cant help other than this. If you PM me your email address i will mail the program over and send you a key in the morning so you can demo the USB drive before purchasing a valid copy. There is indeed a patch for USB support but are you saying that your machine will not let you copy data to the drive?
