JackyBoi
Journal bearing turbochargers are supposed to have a little shaft play, even from new, so long as it doesn't cause the blades to hit the housing

JackyBoi
DBB have slight shaft play, not sure on journal bearing. They do indeed when they're new or haven't been used in a long time (when the oil has had a chance to drain out) but I'd be more concerned about a journal with NO shaft play than one with some
