Removing an upside down badge!

So, after owning the car for awhile now it's gotten to me. The front badge was upside down and I couldn't stand it being so glaringly wrong to me.

I've carefully removed it in one piece but it has left behind this:

I would like to remove it all before re attaching the badge in the correct orientation.

So due to my lack of experience in such matters... What do you recommend I use to remove the remaining adhesive?

For bonus points, what should I use to secure the badge after?

Having some real trouble, luckily most of the badge is symmetrical so will hide most of it.

It seems to have been stuck on with super glue, the tar remover is slowly breaking it down. Been applying it for an hour at a time to really react with it.

Can't wait to have it looking right again!

Same scenario I'm in with removing rear windows tints, I found soaking it then applying some to a microfibre and applying light pressure and rubbing worked best but still took nearly 3 hours to clear a rear window

try with a steamer

Should be much easier! :)
