How to fit aftermarket steering wheel?

Anyone who how to remove this part. I took out the 4 screws but the wire at the bottom that leads into the dashboard. Not got a clue how to remove it. The boss kit won't go on unless it's removed

Theres something wrong there then. Thats your slip ring / clockspring which provides connection for your horn. In a supra it is also part of the indicator cancelling mech. If you remove it you will lose your horn and your indicators wont cancel.

 

I dont know which kit you are using, but on the ebay ones the boss kit fits on the column spline fine with the ring in place. You just need to trim the lug on the plug that plugs into the ring.

I've removed mine, pretty sure I had to for my boss too but I could be wrong (it was a while back :D). I managed to get the horn working but it wasn't at all easy. It's much easier if you can leave it in place.
