Newish (UK) turbos - do these seem right?

Recieved these in the post today (ebay :) ). Hoping the adapter will be turning up seperately from the seller on ebay though . . .

There's no 'in-and-out' play at all, but there is a slight bit of play 'side-to-side', probably only about 0.5mm - is that OK (never had a turbo engine before! :help: )???

Also, there seems some very slight 'grazing' to the intake (I presume) side - see piccies below.

Any comments gratefully recieved! :)

Cheers Jake. By grazing, I mean the very ends of the 'fins' (can you tell I'm new to FI? lol ) look like they've been rubbed-down slightly by some kind of friction. Stands to reason, I suppose, if it's the intake side.

All along the leading edge of the blades? Pretty normal on used turbos I should imagine. I can't see that being a problem unless the blades have been significantly eroded by dust/dirt particles. Your ones look OK to me though.

swap with the correct adapter

are you fitting uk turbos to a jap car?

i think you have to change at least the manifold and downpipe (1st cat pipe) to be able to do this. why do you want uk turbos?

btw i've got some jspec turbos for sale if you want some proper turbos :)

tell-tale sign of a 'performance' airfilter I'm afraid.

You don't get this when using the standard paper filters.

Hoping to get the downpipe from 'crankkiller', the original seller. My jspec turbos have about 80k miles on them now - there's no way I would trust them if I cranked up the boost (which is the plan, until I can afford single).

Didn't know about changing the manifold too, though. Is it just a switch to a UK manifold?
