Matt Harwood
I recieved an E-mail from Ebay today asking to update my account. Once entering my login details, (which I have now changed), it went to this page http://ebay-global.com/SecurityMeasures.php Love the way it clarifies that your PIN number is the one you use at ATM's
Jake
At least you had the sense to not fill it in. Easy way to tell if it's a genuine eBay email: Did they address you by your username in the email? Ebay always do, scammers don't.

Matt Harwood
It was obvious it was going to be a scam, so I had to enter my udername and password to get to the next stage... With hindsight, I should have entered any old crap, I'm sure it would still have re-directed The password was changed immediatly
Jake
Do I sense sarcasm Actually no, I wasn't being sarky. I missed that part. Well, I read it but it didn't sink in.

tbourner
Normally hovering over the link in the email shows that it actually links to someone's webspace or something! But that one is ebay-global which would fool a lot of people I'm sure!
how_supra
Did that straight away cool. Not sure if they [can] do anything about it, but at least you have reported

ivan
Don't bother - the page also throws up a virus alert. I tried to print it out for notice-board info here...
carl0s
Don't bother - the page also throws up a virus alert. I tried to print it out for notice-board info here... some of the good av software just detect it as a 'generic phishing trojan'. It doesn't mean there's anything virus-like on the page, other than the naughtiness of the page itself. Same goes for the emails which direct you there.. http://www2.css-networks.com/phishing.jpg
