filling the torque converter with ATF

Is there a rule to filling it? ie any certain amount or do I just keep filling untill It cant take any more? Cheerz

Think about it If you lay it on its back and fill it to the level of the top of the neck, when you turn it upright to slide it onto the gearbox, a lot will pour straight back out Just put a pint in. You don't actually need to out any in at all if you don't want to, but you will have to top the `box up as the pump refills the TC. I usually put just under a pint in a new one. A used one will probably already have enough still in it to just refit. if the TC is off a box that's failed you should NOT use it, it's probably full of particulates.
