Indicator Resistance/Speed

Noz

Recommended Posts

I'm making some LED indicators. I notice without a repeater, the speed increases. This must be due to having less resistance in the circuit.

If I make LED indicators, for the front and side, how can I be sure I have replicated the same values as the bulb to reduce the flashing speed?

I'm making some up at the moment, am worried about how this will affect flasher speed.

All advice welcome.

the side repeater as an LED has no effect.

You want a 50w 6.8 Ohm ish resistor in parallel with the LED indicator - this mimics the load of a bulb bringing the flashing rate to the correct speed.

I did wonder why with both disconnected the speed did not change again either.

Thanks for updating me with this mate.
