fog light switch for centre console under stereo?!! Where can I get one!!

Hi, during a recent heater matrix install, the fog light switch was lost!

 

It was located below the stereo where there are now just 2 blanking plates and a hole with the 2 wires hanging out!

 

Ive been trying to find a replacement but something that I presumed was simple is proving quite difficult! As there are 2 wires, I presume I just need a 2 pin unit.

 

I had seen some quite cool "Supra" ones on ebay that had a fighter pilot type switch but they are for the mk3.

 

Im not overly fussed about style but just want a switch that does the job and fits nicely in the hole.....anyone have any experience of where to get one?!!

I used one from a uk spec mr2 which is perfect fitment for the blank and illuminates when your fogs are on looks totally OEM aswell £2 off eBay iirc

That's the one mate it works great, there are 4tabs 2 for illumination of the switch and 2 for the lights, I even swopped the internal bulb for a nice bright red led

Or you could buy a UK spec right hand panel and OEM UK Supra switch and have a genuine factory look. I then connected up one of the spare warning cluster bulbs to show rear fog.

Is the LED a soldering job or a straight replacement (if so what size) ?

It needed a resistor soldering inline as it was a 9v led other than that the legs just pushed into the bulb connections from what I remember mate

I have just replaced the bulbs on my UK Spec GT T-Bar Rev2 MR2 fog light switches. I used stock LEDS and soldered in a resistor to allow for the 12v feed.

 

This is the original bulb removed and the LED in place.

Cheers Marco. I forgot to get any with the wires wrapped around the rubber bits and then with the resistor installed.

 

My MR2 is a right old beater. Fun as hell to drive though Not a patch on the Supra

Lol at least you took some pics unlike me you can never replace the supra mate but by eck you can have fun in an MR2
