heater matrix recore

just a quick question,

 

has any one ever had there heater matrix re-cored rather than replacing the unit, the toyota unit is pretty pricey and the demisterman unit gets mixed reviews, so was just wondering of anyone has went down the re-core route,

if so how feel has it faired out???

I've only ever used them for radiators but always had a good job done

and they've been going for years.

might be worth a try as mine is on its last legs ( windows steaming and hard to clear etc etc ) if i try this out after crimbo i'll post up the results, hopefully it'll be positive and anyone needing the matrix done from here on in might have a cheaper alternative, with maybe a heat output more like oe vs the demisterman unit
