SupraP-Z
1). What is the difference between the stock recaro's and other aftermarket ones? (apart from appearance) 2). Can the stock recaros be bolted straight on (with the right rails) using existing fittings? 3). If changing from stock cloth seats to oem recaros, will all electrical functions still be intact? seat adjustment etc Im sure there are more questions, i just cant think of them right now. Just thinking what i would need to fit recaros into the supe, my seats are j-spec pre-facelift
Tee from China
1.As to differences, most people use Bride subframes when fitting Recaros but AFAIK the fittings are the same 2.Dont think the fittings from your existing seats will fit, but if you get the OE Recaros with frames and mounts then yes 3.I dont think Recaros have any electrics and adjustments are all manual. sdistc
If you are referring to aftermarket seats meaning "other models with OEM Recaros" (DC2, DC5, Evo), they all have an identical base pan which will suit a Supra rail. Recaros of these types are all manual.
jay200bhp
the difference between aftermarket speeds or srd recaros and oem ones are the harness holes are flocked on the oem seats and plastic on the aftermarket ones too
Pixelfill
I think the stock ones are not universal fit either - i.e the adjuster is only on one side of the seat, aftermarket ones have adjusters on both sides.
