ArghJae
My drivers side window has stopped working all of a sudden. The passenger side is working fine. I've checked the fuses and I think the motor might have given up. To make things worse I'm still waiting to book my car in to get the a/c repaired so now I'll be sweltering in the heat. Anyone got any ideas for a quick fix?
Pete
Anyone got any ideas for a quick fix? Only one - and it requires a brick and a dustpan and brush.

ArghJae
Well the box works fine for central locking and the passenger window, just the drivers window switch is screwed. Could be the switch or the motor.
Guest dylant
Could be worse...could be stuck open!!
Soonto_HAS_soop
Take the door card off and have a look, mine did the same - but in the open position. It turned out that the metal cord used in the window system had frayed(SP) and had clogged the motor. Mr T wanted stupid money, so went to Halfrauds and fixed it with some new bike brake cabling - been good for 18 months now.
ArghJae
Hmmm, it now works again, will still get it checked out though. I'll take the door card and off and have a nosey. Thanx.
