fri3ndly
I'm looking to get a full service on my supra now as the previous owner barely drove it and simply just had it MOT'd every year after doing 1k miles or so. I have got an estimate from a local performance garage called 'SW Autos' in Kent who said that a full service without cam belt change would be £3-400 and with would be £600ish. I was just looking at cam belts on ebay and they seem fairly cheap so does this price sound right? Also has anybody used SW Autos before? They look quite good and have a 900bhp rolling road too. In case it helps I have a Twin Turbo Auto Supra 1993 with 30k miles on the clock. The last service in the log book was 15k miles and in 1998 so it looks like the owner has it serviced on import and then just MOT'd it every year. Spark plugs were changed in 2010. I'm guessing I should get the full works service including cam belt... Thoughts? SupraMan Mk4
The cost of the belts arent overly expensive its the labour time usually. I reckon, if in doubt get it done. Things like oil and plugs you could do yourself if fairly competant. Id also check what a 'Full service' actually includes before parting with any cash. I bet it still has the original cam belt on !!! Definitely get that done as 19 years is pushing it a bit
