Ryan.G
While mapping the Whiftbitz race car last week we encountered an issue where the fueling all of a sudden starting going lean and the ecu was automatically putting in more fuel. We intially thought this was a filter issue but after going back over the log and talking to the guys at T1 injectors about what fuels are good with the Bosch core injectors. They stated that the MS109 race fuel we were using contains MTBE which is not compatible with the Bosch and IDxxxx series injectors and will cause the o-rings inside the injector to swell and not allow fuel to pass as well!! Cant believe they dont state it in the Injector worksheets! Ryan
hodge
That's bad news I was hoping for a race fuel map.
DARETT
One of the reasons I went for siemans over the ID's. None of the VP fuels can be used with them. I didn't know Paul was running the ID's otherwise would have mentioned it on the day

greeny
That's bad news I was hoping for a race fuel map. It's just the oxygenated fuels that you can't run I believe.
dude
It's just the oxygenated fuels that you can't run I believe. Edit, just heard back from VP and C16 contains no MTBE but it also is not oxygenated.
