Mike Posted July 17, 2005 Share Posted July 17, 2005 Had my wing mirror smashed off yesterday by an Alfa 147 driving too close.... totally twisted it round and smashed out all the glass... Check all the motors are working, and all seems fine -despite a little wobble it's developed for it's ordeal, but nothing major…. So called in Halfords to get a replacement glass... and got the usual spotty youth advising me.. so he says, "on a Supra what we'll have to do is take a template of the mirror, send it away and get you one made up..£20".. Haven't called Toyota yet -but I'm sure they would have to import one from Japan at a cost of £2000!.. but hey, I might be wrong.. So is the bloke in Halfords talking rubbish? or if this a weirdly difficult part to get hold of? surely not..?! Any advice..? Luckily the Alfa driver was good enough to stop... so a decent bloke who's giving me the cash for the replacement... annoying though... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
