Chucky_waR
Hi, I have a question on a clutch being stiff on a single turbo Supra..I bought the Supra on friday but the clutch feel really stiff The clutch according to it's receipt is brand new with only a couple of hundred miles on it. It's an OS Giken Twin Plate Clutch. Is this normal to be so stiff or should I get it checked out? Thanks in advance
Scott
Depends on the pressure plate bud. It will probably be a little heavier than stock though.

bignum
They are pretty heavy as normal, snatchy too.
Chris Wilson
They are usually very light, not really a lot heavier than stock. It will have a movement alteration kit that changes the slave movement from pull to push. These need greasing with the correct grease, and it's imperative the right type of release bearing is fitted. Who fitted i? I am very familiar with most Giken products. Even my triple plate is used by my wife without comment.

Chris Wilson
They shouldn't judder at all. I must have fitted at least 8 or 10 of these clutches to various cars and have had two myself, no judder, and relatively light pedal even as a triple plate unit. They are NOT a drag race clutch. Chris Wilson
Is it lighter than stock? No, but not a lot heavier as a twin plate on a MKIV. Their quality is 110%, like all Giken stuff. I use them on my own cars, and I won't fit *rap
