Plenum change v auto supra?

Right then, im currently building a high spec engine. The car is a Auto at the moment and soon to become a manual. But on my spec list im going to be using a after market plenum and throttle body.

THE QUESTION..... how does the Auto react to a after-market plenum? I ask as if i remember correct the AUTO shuts the throttle off on gear changes as with a after market plenum it wont? Is this a issue?

If it's converted to a manual gearbox, why is this an issue? If it's a high spec engine won't you be using a different ECU anyway, so the stock autobox control again becomes a non issue :)

Its going to be used as a Auto untill i find a manual box at the right money.

And yes it will be using a HKS FCON Pro 3.24 ecu. But this dosent control the gearbox?

my question is tho, does the throttle need to be released on gear change? As im using a different throttle body etc?

You should be able to lower the power briefly during gearshifts by pulling ignition timing instead. The EMU can do it so I imagine other ECUs can as well. Dude would know more, he's got loads of experience with autoboxes :)
