mattysupra Posted August 15, 2011 Share Posted August 15, 2011 Right then, im currently building a high spec engine. The car is a Auto at the moment and soon to become a manual. But on my spec list im going to be using a after market plenum and throttle body. THE QUESTION..... how does the Auto react to a after-market plenum? I ask as if i remember correct the AUTO shuts the throttle off on gear changes as with a after market plenum it wont? Is this a issue? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And yes it will be using a HKS FCON Pro 3.24 ecu. But this dosent control the gearbox? my question is tho, does the throttle need to be released on gear change? Ian C Posted August 16, 2011 Share Posted August 16, 2011 You should be able to lower the power briefly during gearshifts by pulling ignition timing instead.
