Yeah i can remember paying £1000 5 years ago for a TC from vortex performance , People must not be into drag racing as much anymore...

what power can these gearboxes withstand ?

As far as i know its around 900bhp, but you would need to double check, Theres plenty of cars running 9s with this transmission.

I think BL rate the boxes to 800-900hp .... the truth however, as i seem to have found out, is that 700-800hp is really pushing it.

 

When Michel Lane used to rebuild these he rated them to 650-700hp MAX.
