Slack drive train

Does anyone know if you should be able to rotate the prop a few cm either direction by hand? If not, what could be the cause of this? I think the issue is connected to that and that the clunking noise is the drivetrain picking up and taking off that slack.

Could be gearbox mounts I guess but I wouldn't of thought I could re-create the noise with so little effort on the prop for it to be that?

Being able to rotate the prop is probably the backlash. You should always have a little backlash but I'm not sure how much in the Supra unfortunately.

Could be the dual mass flywheel is worn out, or maybe the propshaft centre mount is worn or damaged. Finally it could be the doughnut coupling between the back of the prop and pinion shaft of the rear diff. Could be other things, but I would look at those first.

Anyone had any joy? I get a shocking kick from the drivetrain when on and off the throttle I'n reverse, and when pulling away, basically when engaging drive to the diff, could it be diff mounts? It ws there a little before but now with a paddle clutch it's 10 times worse. I have a trd gear box mount newly fitted
