PLX gauge remote

I'm trying to make everything on my project car look like it was done that way from the factory, so no control boxes stuck to the dashboard etc.

I'm having problems with the remote for the PLX gauge as I'm currently having to stick it to the dash. What I'd like to do is have the buttons coming through a panel, but they hardly protrude from the remote, so I would need to open the remote up & then mount it under a panel.

The problem is that although the remote looks like it should just pry apart every attempt I've made just seems to damage the plastic. Has anyone opened one of these up & if so how?

Nope, not opened one, but I can supply one if you balls it up :)

Make me an offer :) I have a couple here and would be interested in how you do it.

Thanks that's useful to know, it at least means I don't have to be quite so careful with mine.

Thats what I was hoping, fitting mine 2morrow and one of the things I'm not sure about is how to hide the remotes but stlll make them accessible. Let me know how you get on.

I also have plenty of plx dm-5 gauges here if you need any, in black and white. new, but at a price that will beat anyone on the interweb :)
