garethr
I am sorry bud, by you saying that Supras demand so much money in the US, what do you mean? ... Because the UK and Japan are both right hand drive countries, we have loads of Supras imported from Japan as used cars, as well as the limited number of cars sold new by Toyota. This means that there are plenty of Supras available, which keeps the price down. It also means there is no shortage of TTs, so there is less incentive to go NA-T. Since you cannot register RHD cars in the USA you only have the LHD cars imported by Toyota. The limited supply keeps prices high and makes NA-T (and TT conversions using Aristo front cuts) more popular.
Thorin
http://boostwerx.com/triet.html says it made 639rwhp and that was on E85. That's a fair way off 700rwhp, and it would be considerably less again on normal pump fuel. ...plus we all know the US RWHP figures generally = Our crank HP figures. Smaller horses over there. TTRickeh
I reckon, after seeing this thread, NA-T projects will start picking up over here. The problem was the theory that N/As couldn't handle that amount of output. This will prove people wrong. Bit more hassle involved with the NA though, with taking the head off to change the head gasket thickness or engine apart to change the pistons. I think this needs to be done at a lower bhp than TTs start needing internals changed. Plus the inlet manifold isn't in an ideal place going over the hot side of the turbo etc.
