need some info on first cat and turbos on supra

hi guys my car has a been in the garage today as i noticed a missfire hogh in the rev range.today i was told that he believes its somthing to do with the sequintal set up interfearing with my blitz boost controller he called the problem a surge not a missfire.he also believes that it could be because the first cat has been removed has any one had any of these problems if so how can i get round it many thanks

no its going on the rollers 1st of august at engine advantages but they dont have the software to remap the hks yet.i used tdi last time but they took some comments the wrong way on here and think ive mucked my chances up with them. abbey motorsport cant remap the fcon v either any ideas who can

You're using an aftermarket ECU that was mapped for one engine on another engine? There's you problem.

 

Why's it running a FCon anyway? What other mods does the car have that it requires such an exotic ECU? Does it have larger-than-stock injectors? Non-stock turbos?

Mikey, I thing its best if you explained in detail why your last engine was replaced and the full spec of the new and previous engine. It does sound fueling related though - what fuel pump and injectors do you have, has the fuel filter been replaced, has anyone checked the ecu map since the rebuilt, etc...

its a complete engine i brought believe its standard including the turbos.the last engine i dont know a great deal about i was told that the turbos had recently been replaced with vvti ones how true this is i dont know. the fuel pump kit was from tdi £160 it cost it also has a hks drager exhaust
