Yankee Ruin X
Hi I was just wondering where you guys have put your number plates cause mine is in the front window at the min so i need to get it mounted. I've got the vielside front bumper so if anyone could give me some ideas that would be cool also which plate the square ones or rectangle. Its just I've seen on some of your pics that some have got it put on the bottom of the front bumper is that legal? Cheers for your time guys and girls

Homer
Front number plate? Not had one for a several months but got pulled for it a couple of weeks ago. Got a producer and and a rectification notice (no fine though), sorted those out the next day but still have no front plate Still not sure how (or if) I fit the damn thing to a do-luck front! Homer
Sorry Steve but that doesn't look legal or good. It looks like it fell off and just happened to land there. When I got pulled over for no plate the Officer said "Make sure you get the plate mounted so that its in full view, don't mount it flat (he then pointed at the flat lip on the bumper) or get one of the undersize plates - they'll land you in a lot more bother". I think what he was getting at was if you try to have a plate which is deliberately hard to read (i.e. odd angle or very small) then you're in a lot more trouble than if you have a missing plate (and can make up excuses for not having one ) Also I am led to believe that having an undersize plate can lead to 3 points on your license and a £30 fine - whereas no plate can only lead to a £30 fine... ? Yankee Ruin X
So if I leave it in the front window and get pulled its only a £30 fine and no points, points are the only thing I'm bothered about cause my insurance will go through the roof if I can get insured at all. Chris it couldn't have been me you saw cause I only got here last week and I picked her up from down London.
Homer
So if I leave it in the front window and get pulled its only a £30 fine and no points As far as I've been explained it (by several officers), that’s as bad as having a badly displayed or and undersized plate. If you have no plate then you can only get a rectification notice and at max a £30 fine. If you're a nice guy like me you won't get the fine either
