Rob
I've been reading all the searched threads on warped disks since I put my sup back on the road last week, as I can feel a definite judder under all but the very lightest of braking. I can feel it pulsing through the pedal but feel no vibration through the steering wheel. How do I find out which disk is warped, and what's the average cost for a set of J-spec discs? I presume they neeed changing in pairs.
Miguel
you need to check the run out on the disks and backing hubs.
skaeley
I have the same problem, just put on some front discs I bought from one of the guys from the forum. Quick drive to Bluewater and back and everytime I breaked hard, pulsing through the pedal and vibration on the steering wheel. I think I will have to check out the discs in the morning, maybe put the old ones back !
wkdtime
Mate check your wheel bearings to as this can cause vibrations under braking if theyre shagged.
Terminator
Have you check for run out as Mig suggested? Failure to install discs without checking run out is a frequent cause of judder.
TLicense
If it helps, probably next weekend, I'm going to be stripping down my 6 pots and giving them a service, I could do a bit of a "how to" on things to check in the brake system like run-out and bearing wear etc...
