Class One
I believe but I may be wrong that the max boost for a bog standard j spec tt is 0.9bar.
Steve
Think my standard J spec ran at 0.75 bar max.

Fat lot of good that will do. If you do not have a restrictor ring you can easily hit 1.4 bar. You will just have to stay off the throttle and keep below 0.8. ardasaliah
The Turbo presure range according to toyota is between 8.8psi (0.61 bar) and 10.8psi (0.75).

tDR
As has been said, if it's fully decatted then the boost controller being disconnected is likely to do more damage than good due to boost creep. I've found that my controller on low boost keeps boost lower than when it's switched off.
mikeyh
do you think it would be best to keep the boost controller connected and try not to use high boost lol
tDR
do you think it would be best to keep the boost controller connected and try not to use high boost lol Yes, and to not use full throttle... keep a close eye on what boost you are making as you accelerate. Cheers, Brian.
