tbourner
I also need my rear arches rolled as the wheels are HUGE and I'm sure will rub - especially with the Tein SS's. Anyone around here that does it and how much per arch?
Toms Supra
Your wheels must be massive then coz the Supra arches are huge and can house 20`s even lowered. I think its about £30 roughly IIRC. It was on my old 306 anyway!
Homer
I know Dude has the kit to do this properly, might be work contacting him in a couple of weeks

tbourner
Well they're only 18s but the tyres are 285/35, they come out to the line of the arch, and because of the way the arch goes in it will hit the edge of the wheel on bumps. The wheels are 9" front +34 offset, and 10" rear +42 offset. There's about 10mm between the arch and the wheel, so I either need rolling or to stiffen the suspension to within an inch of its life!!! Maybe just fit them and see how it goes - is it bad to have lots of rubbing? Will they go bang or anything?
terawua
this potential problem has stopped me ordering a set of 9.5" and 10.5" Volks... so I would be interested to know what the consensus is. (also very relieved to find out the cost of wheel arch rolling. It has always bothered me that the wheels dont really fill the arches properly. TRD3000GT
GVN also do arch cutting.. Its a much safer and quicker job to do as there is NO chance of cracking the paint on the outside of the arch. After they trim the metal lip in to a much more agreeable size they seal it all of and your good to go.. Im guessing they will charge £100 to do it but I had to go that route because some supras have spot welds on the inside of the arch which means they can not be rolled. After the job was done I checked the work and compared to some of the rolled arches Ive seen its very good.

terawua
unless of course Dremel do a plasma cutter now...
TRD3000GT
you need a very high speed hydraulic hack saw and a special guide to hold it in place. I know a dremel would just die if you tried to cut your arches with it.. The metal is pretty thick! 50, I suggest if you are ever up in London for jobs, shopping etc etc you do what Barney does and leave your car at GVN for free parking and jump on the underground 50 feet outside the front door. They will get it all sorted out in a day! Once the arches are cut you fir RIDICULOUS tyres like me .. Im running 315's at the rear on 11" wheels
terawua
315's well that makes me think that getting 295's under there would be a p.o.c hmmm
