Mine is available for demos and shows just how good they are when done properly, even with a small turbo

excuses excuses :D

no it wasn't like that at all. :p Although they did happen to be lots of different colours.

I had a Hyundai Coupe [YELLOW] which I loved, but pressure from my parents forced me to change it to a more sensible car as I just finished Uni and was skint. So I went and bought a Black POLO, 1.4 engine, which I thought would be nippy, but it was just shite, so after 3 months of that car, I traded it in for a Ford Puma.

Ford Puma [Red] was great, but about this time James bought a Supra as well, my Ford Puma needed a new steering rack [apparently], and to be fair I always liked Japanese cars - specifically the Preludes and Skylines - and we started going to shows and I decided it was about time I got a car I really liked.

One problem, was that I was still skint, so November last year I sold my Puma on Ebay and bought a Crappy old Renault Laguna (green) to run around in, so I could save my pennies and buy a car I actually wanted. In March this year I got a 10k payrise, and now I have an FTO.

The moral of the story is - don't buy VW Polo's as they are Shite, and don't let your parents force you to make decisions which you are not 100% behind.

:p :p

well put! but what happens when black goes out of fashion? say in the autumn when red comes back in? will red go with your black car or will you have to get something else? :tempted:

LOL

Whilst I do see colour as a very important factor, and I would be lying if I didn't say that I do love Yellow cars. I can say that on this occasion I am most satisfied with my lovely FTO, which just so happens happens to be black.

...........................but then again.........................................

Who am I kidding, I purposely looked for a black FTO, black goes with everything. The beauty is that when Red comes back into fashion, I can add red things, and when it goes out of fashion, I can change them. Its cheaper than changing my car every 2 weeks.

Can you put two big singles in? or is that a really dumb question?

Yes. But then you have big twins...and only 3cylinders driving each turbo...so spool will take a decade but power will be high...

Cool. So it is possible then. What type of power would you get (regardless of spool time), when both "large Singles" are running. I should know but I don't, because I'm stupid. :help:

Depends on many things, but in theory 2 x T67 it should be possible to make 1200-1400 bhp.

So in response to James' Q - upgrading the autobox isn't a necessity then is it with a BL61? what about with a BL67? :D

Bringing up this thread again as am interested in a response from some of the more knowledgeable members in relation to this question.

My gut instinct is that for a BL67 an uprated auto would be a must, but would it be needed straight away?

It wouldn't be a bad move.

Hi mate, I am off to have another go at your car tomorrow, but it is at least boosting now!

I think the box may well survive, but a High stall would be nice. However yours is a VVTi and that will aid spool so I would try it and see.

Yeah Mark gave me the good news, LOL

I might be free late afternoon to pick it up so can you give me a shout.

Guess i will see how it goes, but have to run it with the stockers for a bit first. If its not to my liking i may well see if anyone wants to swap a 61 for the 67 as i dont think i can stretch to a uprated box at the moment.

There is a weird Vacuum source thing with the VVTi, once changed it boost's through. That was a real head scratcher for a while there.
