recirculated air

recirculated air, what is that about!!!

It sucks like a russian whore with three kids in a recession.

Is there a way to disconnect it?

The other day I got in the car and switched on the aircon and turned the temp to max cold as I had just been playing squash and was very hot and sweaty, after a short while I was cold so I switched the aircon off.

Instantly the car mists up, due to turning the dial to max cold had ingaged the recirc button.

Assuming your heating controls are the same as in the attached picture, press button 'b'. That will make the system draw air in from the outside instead. It will be somewhat quieter, but it won't get quite as cold.

Unless you disconnect the linkage for the air inlet damper and leave it in the fresh air position, then the only other ways are to run a separate switched feed to the air inlet damper motor, or re-programme the control unit. Just pressing button 'b' seems the easiest option to me. :)

Thanks! :)

I suspect many of the younger members on here wouldn't have a clue what it was.

Sadly I remember the series fairly clearly. Off the top of my head: Mitch the monkey, Professor Beaker, little Jimmy, Masterspy the villain. Operated out of Black Rock. Great series, much better than Big Brother, and more tasteful :)

Can we rename this thread.... Guess what the space car avatar is from.

Sorry.

I'm only joking, I'm getting near the top of the hill, I've not got to the bottom and gone for a walk in the field like Chris. :p
