5 or 6 speed auto

has anyone fitted a 5 or 6 speed lexus auto box to a TT. there are after market controllers available but will the lexus box fit the transmission tunnel. also to remove the standard 4 speed does the engine need to come out or moved to clear the bell housing etc.

Much better rev ranges which is why OEM's have started doing them chap. I believe they might even be up to 7 speed boxes now.

Yep, IS-F has 7 speed auto. Beautiful and smooth it is, too.

Box comes out quite easy but it is very heavy, the tunel is pretty big.

OK so the box will come out and with paddle change should be pretty cool. but what about the 6 speed A760E gearbox ,anyone any idea what size it is. as mentioned before, why so many gears on an auto ? cause first is to high for a quick get a way and to low to use on the open road. anyway the new kaaz diff is awesome if a bit juddery at low speed tight corners.
