sauron Posted June 18, 2010 Share Posted June 18, 2010 Any ideas...My stock electric aerial gets stuck half way although motor keeps running for another 5 or more seconds.Have extended it completely and cleaned and sprayed with WD40 but no change.Retracts without any problem?? neo2810 Posted June 18, 2010 Share Posted June 18, 2010 Check the toothed rail for breakages. Use a pair of pincer pliers to carefully remove the holding nut at the base of the mast. Turn the radio on and feed the mast and plastic toothed rail out. Extend the aerial fully and you should have about 15cm of toothed rail sticking out. If you don't, you'll need to order a new mast from Toyota for about £40, take the aerial motor apart and remove the loose bit, then feed new aerial back in after putting it back together by turning the radio off.
