what ET do i need? help i havent a clue

im either getting rota GTRs or Rota Torques.

 

im going for 17 x 9.

 

(you can get staggered ones, 9J front, 9.5/J rear, but i think if i stick to 9J all round its easier?)

 

i want the wheels to be flush with the arches, dont want them hidden in there!

 

i have UK brakes, and the car stis quite low as is.

 

which offsets do i need out of these??

 

ET25 front ET30 Rear

ET30 front ET12 rear

ET12

ET48

ET30

ET25front ET12 rear

ET35 front ET30 rear

any suggestions or tips on widths or ETs welcome!

Staggered widths look alot better, ET 35 f and 30 r should be OK.

why would you have different offsets on the front to the rear then?

even if the wheels are both 9J ??

 

 

i know the stock wheels are ET50, but they are way in the arch, i need something about 1.5inches more,

 

ET30 will do the job then? or can i go further/less whichever makes them stick out?

thats about 37mm

 

 

 

so take away 37mm from ET50

 

 

equals ET12

You can see that width has an effect on offset, so there's a fair bit to factor in.

 

And no, ET 12 will not fit

 

Your wheels should really be staggered in width mate, it's not just about offset, the wider rears have an effect on handling that toyota factored into the cars design. Wider rears = more grip and promote understeer to ease control. + Wide rear wheels look

 

Edit to add, your say your car is low, do you intend to modify the arches?, if not, I think you might want to take a look at my garage. My car is low, has 10" rears with 43 offset. It sits literally 2mm from the lip of the arch, I get no rubbing at all. Any more aggressive on the offset with a low stance will require arch fettling.
