how_supra
Has anyone ever attended a WRC Event anywhere in the world? I've always wanted to go on a WRC weekend, but have never quite got round to it. It seems to be like one of those things that, from the outset, seems like a good idea, but the more you think about the less likely you think that it would actually be that good, and you are better off just watching the TV coverage. attilauk
some of my mates go to the rally GB every year, its only a quick hop over the severn bridge for us though. aparently the noise and the pace of the cars has to be seen to be believed
how_supra
hmmmmmmm nice one. So it is actually worth going? I definately would consider a long drive along the M4. Is there a lot of hanging about? I suppose the excitement alone is enough. I really want to go to the Finish rally as well.
AJI
I usually go and watch local rallys where WRC spec cars compete.... I know a few of the rally drivers and my uncle is a machanic for one of them. A number of my mates also go and watch the Rally GB event and from their reports it is WELL WORTH IT going to watch them in real life. To see a WRC car on a rally stage is something you really have to see in real life to get a true impression of how fast they are actually going. And you can't get anywhere near the true sound from your TV set no matter how good you speakers are !! You have to realise that modern day WRC cars are putting in FASTER stage times than the old Group 'B' rally supercars !!
