is it worth trying to get one of the traders on here to maybe do a group buy on one...it kind of does them out of their job but once they have done the big first clean after that most of us will just keep on polishing our own anyway...ive been toying with the idea of buying one like you but havent got round to doing so but im sure if a group buy went up there would be a lot of take ups

I wouldn't mind a goup buy, but ideally i'm after one sooner rather than later.

try a company called polished bliss they currently have an april sale on the meguiars G220 DA polisher

Cheers matey, but asmuch as i really want the megs kit i think its too much for me to spend.

I know the saying you buy cheap, you buy twice etc but i can honestly see me only using it a couple of times a year.

this from polished bliss http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/meguiars-g220-dual-action-machine-polisher-polish.html is normally 150 notes but now 33% off so 99 notes. Cant go wrong for that really. Yes it 100 pounds but well worth the money IMO

You would only need to use one a couple of times a year anyway, first job to get all the nasty swirl marks out of the paint.

I keep looking at that or the Kestrel DaS6 which is slightly cheaper.

My mate Dan has that and uses it on his WRX... good bit of kit and TBH just as good as the G220 and like you said a bit cheaper. Thats what did my lights up the Kestral.. Cant go wrong with that either Neil. Get some pads off them too and some good compound. Drop them a mail from the website they reply quick and will let you know what you need pad and compound wise. You got J Spec? you will need a milder compound as J Spec paint is softer:)

After a full detail with the kestral and a good wax applied the results would be awesome

Yeah i read about the soft paint.

might just go for that one as i keep reading both good and bad reports on the megs kit but nothing bad on the DAS6.

What you looking at doing Neil? full swirl removal?

To be honest matey i just want the paint looking as good as it possibly can.

Last timer i cleaned and clayed there wasnt that many swirl marks, mostly the roof, but that might have been me not checking properly.

With it being white i know its hard to get a decent finish as all the hard work wont show through like on a darker coloured car.
