bodilx6
Just installed a HKS oil cooler & relcation kit. Immidiately I noticed a "new" sound when accelerating slowly through 1st and 2nd (hight up its cancelled out by tire/wind noise). It is definately rev dependant and doesn't sound bad at all more like a more explicid engine/cooling noise from the left part of the engine compartment. It is very hard, if at all possible to hear from the outside or near the engine. Only from the inside. Question is, is this normal? Can it relate to oil under being transferred in the hoses? The installation seem to be leaking just a bit of drops, but that cannot be the reason for the sound. Btw, I changed from Mobil full synth 5w40 (lower grade, not Mobil 1, think it was called "3000" or something) to Mobil1 5/30. But my guess is that that wouldn't cause this. Also used this oil a few years back without remembering anything like this.
bodilx6
Does a tired water pump, a bad bearing on the tighterner wheel or maybe a worn belt sound like described?
