Alex Posted May 23, 2005 Share Posted May 23, 2005 Hang on guys he says nothing about on boost it's low down acceleration. The spark plugs are and arn't the problem...it's probably because they are getting flooded with fuel thanks the Fcon. I would suggest your map needs looking at and adjusting. If nothing other than a simple decat has been fitted then the lower end of the map shouldn't have been changed by the person mapping the fcon... If you had a misfire at full boost then it would be the plugs for sure. But low down smacks of a poor map. It will probably only get worse as the spark plugs get more and more fouled up. Well that's my suggestion I'm happy to be proved wrong Ps is it an Fcon V Pro? If so only a few companies can tune it. EDIT - It could also have been leaned out too me thinks...or the timing be out of whack...anyway it needs checking...a power-run on a dyno should reveal all. mikeyh Posted May 24, 2005 Author Share Posted May 24, 2005 Well I Went To Tdi The Weekend Had A Run On There New Rototest Dyno.there Was No Fault With The Mapping Well Thats What They Told Me Neway Plus Its Very Smooth Through The Rev Range.it Is Only There When The Car Is Coasting At Engine Speed Mine Idles At 620rpm Once Above This It Doesnt Judder. mikeyh Posted May 24, 2005 Author Share Posted May 24, 2005 this might sound stupid dont really know how to explain it.if i let my foot come off the brake very slowly just enough to let the car move slowly but still slightly braking you can feel the engine running lumpy as such.tdi seem to think it could be a dirty injector.obviously theres not that much pressure on the injectors when idleing but when coming up through the rev range there might be enough sorry about the crap info lol its also an auto Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'd clean it (in Lemon Juice...take it out of the exhaust and soak it over night....then rinse with brake cleaner and put it back in.) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
mikeyh Posted May 24, 2005 Author Share Posted May 24, 2005 i dont think they reset the ecu they pulled the plug on its own out of the ecu and told me to turn ignition on and off twice whilst brake and accelerator were on the floor think this was to sort over drive light though.where are the efi fuse 1 and 2 and is it just a case of pulling them out and putting them back it had a new o2 sensor 11th of jan should be fine shouldnt it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Alex Posted May 24, 2005 Share Posted May 24, 2005 Pulling ALL the plugs out of the ECU is the same...the EFI fuses are under the bonnet in a big black unit infront of the passenger suspension tower.
