tbourner
Need some help. We're running 32Bit versions of Windows 2003 Server, and we're soon to be testing 3TB drives and apparently 32Bit Windows can only address 2.2TB drives. Question is can we upgrade our software to 64Bit and use the current licence keys? Someone mentioned that XP home allows you to do this but wasn't sure about Server. Stonkin
As far as i know mate, you will need a 64 bit license key for 64 bit windows
Thorin
You can convert the discs to GPT format as long as you've got 2003 SP1 minimum I believe, and it'll support over 2TB (we've got a few on 4TB).
Thorin
http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/storage/GPT-on-x64.mspx Windows Server 2003 SP1 also enables support for GPT in x86 versions of the Windows Server 2003 family.
The-Plethora
I cant say for sure with server but I think you will be ok. I had 2 keys for 32bit Vista, just downloaded an ISO of the 64 bit version and it worked just fine.
