New Restrictor Ring 2"

A resitrictor ring is just an oversized metal gasket that sits in the airflow and increases the back pressure in the system, thereby stopping the turbos from boosting quite as high as a full freeflow system will.

Each car will behave differently even with the same resitrictor ring.

My suggestion would be to get a ring that holds the boost at 1bar, and use a boost controller to raise the pressure as required.

If you have a 1 bar ring and want 1.2 bar then take the ring out and get the hole in the middle made larger. More exhaust gas will flow through it and so the car will produce more boost.

However, a car will also produce more boost with more engine load. So a car flat out in 2nd gear will produce less boost than one flat out in 4th. If you have 1.2bar in 2nd gear, then expect 1.3 or 1.4 bar in 4th. The restrictor ring will not adjust for that, where a boost controller will.
