Mine was so blocked we could not even blow through it!!!!

We ended up putting the steam cleaner on the pipes to get a bit of movement then kept moving it from pipe to pipe to get all the crap out.

just cleaned my matrix out with hose pipe and flushed the whole system

got rid of dirty rusty looking water put in new coolant and bugger me its still blowing cold :(

i did not use mr mussle ?

both pipes feel warm going into the matrix?

Yeah, I flushed mine with the hose during the summer, got loads of muck out, but still no heat and both pipes warm. I got the 'Demisterman' replacement, took a deep breath and did the job a few weeks ago, using Jezz' howto as a guide... Wasn't quite as bad as I expected, but still not for the faint of heart...

Car's all toastie now though... ;)

good luck to any one doing a matrix change.

you couldnt really pay me enough to do it again, especially on a driveway. a garage would be better. if you have the time and the tools id say go for it but if your unsure get some one else to do it.

expect a lot of cuts and bruises to youhands too. ;)
