4packet
Calipers now sold thanks! Have been in two minds whether to sell these or not, but decided they should go. I have for sale a complete set of Brembo calipers from an Aston Martin DB9/DB7 Vantage. Came off a low mileage car whose owner wanted to change the caliper colour! They are monoblock construction instead of the usual 2 piece with through bolts. Much lighter than the UK spec calipers. The front calipers measure up similar to the F50 Brembo brake kit with the same piston sizes. The weight distribution on a DB9 is quoted as 50:50 with 355mm discs on the front and 330mm rear. In my mind these are ideal for a balanced Supra setup. To complete the kit you would need to purchase pads, discs and bells to suit as well as fabricate a simple adapter to mount the calipers onto the hubs. The calipers are of radial mount type. I have all the necessary pins and anti rattle plates to go with these. Any questions feel free to ask as I did quite a bit of research into completing this project a while back. As you can see from the attached pic they are in good condition. Offers around £400 Thanks Martin (more pics attached: rear pins and anti rattle plates as well as a dimension reference of the front caliper - Actual measurement aprox 28cm)
dcarrter21
could you put up more pics please and a rule next to them in the pics to give an idea of size. cheers
TopgunTT
So are you selling them or not?
4packet
I've already packaged them back up into the garage now but have this pic also. They are pretty big. Would need 18" dia wheels. If you google DB9 images you should get a pretty good idea of size as well as the 4 pot F50 brake kit. Thanks for the interest Martin

Chris Wilson
Could you tell me what the piston diameters are for the rear calipers please? Thanks.

4packet
Could you tell me what the piston diameters are for the rear calipers please? Thanks. Hi Chris, just checked my folder of info from when I measured them. Fronts = 40/44mm Rears = 34/36mm I have an instruction booklet for the fitting kit which quotes 98.5030.40 but don't think I ever matched that up with anything. Chris Wilson
Damn, could have done with rears with a slightly smaller piston. I have AM calipers on the back of my Skyline and had been told that some were made with a 32 / 34 mm piston pairing. Sorry to have troubled you. mkirby
Sorry to post on this thread but do you have the details of the bracket you had made chris to make the AM calipers fit? Cheers Mike
Chris Wilson
It's just an alloy bracket that bolts to the rear hub carrier axially and takes the caliper radially. If you have a look at ftp://ftp.chriswilson.tv/skyline_stuff in likely sounding folders there may be some photos of the brackets there. Obviously they won't fit a Supra. EDIT. Look at ftp://ftp.chriswilson.tv/skyline_stuff/rear_brakes
mkirby
no but they would fit nicely on my 300zx as they have the same rear hub just looking into upgrading my brakes without spending silly money on a new brake kit
Chris Wilson
They'll give far too much rear brake bias without a twin master cylinder and bias pedal bar set up. Even WITH this set up I'd really like calipers with slightly smaller pistons at the rear. They'd probably be OK on a MKIV as they run calipers with bigger piston area on the front than my Skyline. You could certainly use them on a MKIV with a pressure regulating valve on the rear, but I haven't looked at the logistics of using one with ABS and split circuit brakes. By the time you fit a remote servo and a bias master cylinder set up a set of AP brakes new will seem cheap
