Hi Guys/Gals,

 

i am feeling a little weird today and started to remember my first car and the fun i used to have when i had passed my test at 17.

 

I was wondering if there is anyway of finding out the location of my old car via its Registration number or by its chassis number, you know lby entering these details into a search or something.

Doubt it, it would be a boon for thieves.

Yeah i had my doubts before asking but thought i better make sure.

there is a place where you can check if a car has current insurance. My old NA doesnt

 

I forget the site though.

 

I also recall watching a tv program from somewhere and they said you can get details from the dvla for a couple of quid.

I used to work for a company that processed parking tickets and every day we ran reports from the councils and then compiled the reg numbers. sent them off to the dvla and then the next day we got a huge batch of details back.

You can find out if car is currently taxed for free on dvla site. All need is reg and make of car.

i really am interested as well in this, i had a lovely VW Bora that i spent a fortune on when i had it, p/x for the supra and the guy sold it on. would love to buy it back to be honest.
