lost all panel lights

hi all,

just painted me dash and went to put it back in.got it back together and no panel lights or dail lights? when you turn the switch all the air con lights dim as they should and evrything works just no lights,also when i turn the switch the odo goes out but when i turn lights off it comes back on.

all i have done is take the dash out and paint it and put it back????

i have checked all the fuses i can find and all is well. i also have power to the dimmer as i thought it might be that.

what colour did you paint the panel bulbs black?

well thanks for the input any idea what it could be are you gonna just take the p**s and i painted the dash not the bulbs but it could be a good excuse why i have no dash lights

did you plug your dimmer switch back on

Checked the fuses in the drivers footwell?

checked fuses and dimmer switch was plugged in,,, but is there a way to bypass the dimmer cos not fussed about dimming the lights always have it on full?

right this is what it was!!!!!!!! my bloody dimmer switch and all i had to do to sort it was link a wire from the middle live to the earth on the right as you look at the connector and hey presto all ok.
