New DVLA Engine Conversion Rules

Its a bit long winded in my opinion, if they're wanting a garage to give a headed letter I know my place wouldn't be willing to unless they've carried out the work, I know something like that would cost quite a bit on labour, thats if they even contemplated doing this!

And if i'm a technician working for a toyota dealership, supplying and fitting at work a toyota manufactured engine then why wouldnt they give me a reciept?

I fail to see how it would be dodgy?!

Just going by what you wrote before, nothing more to it.

But surely if one of there technicians is doing the conversion, then its been carried out to there satisfaction, I dont think the turners would doubt my work , if they did doubt it then surely i would be jobless?

The way I wrote that basically ment someone coming in off the street to have a reciept written out, my works know if I carry out the work then its going to be to a high level.

They wont want to put there name to someone who isnt employed by them if you know what I mean, as it is at my place for insurance purposes all cars have to be booked into the workshop including employees cars, so it would be all above board and official.

My V5 doesnt says turbo or non turbo (neither did the V5 for my UK TT) and there is no engine number on my V5.

The DVLA have no chance of enforcing such rules.....
