carl0s Posted April 24, 2005 Share Posted April 24, 2005 My windscreen rubber is coming away at the top *again*. Had a new windscreen fitted in december and it kept coming out at speed from the top, eventually got them back and another guy redid it with a new rubber, and did a tidier job of it, but now it's coming away again. I had my windscreen replaced before xmas, then it came loose so they came and did it again, now at some point it has come loose again. I'm not sure how long it has been like it, but hopefully not too much water has got in to damage anything. I'm going to phone them today. Hell, even the fuel filter from the motor factors turned out to be only £2 cheaper, but without the sheild and with threads of inferior (ie leaky) disposition. A false economy, clearly... A work mate of mine wanted his (I know, not a Supra or even Toyota) Mercedes windscreen replaced, they failed 5 times (brought wrong window entirely, twice not even a Mercedes window), he still has problems with it now. Oddly enough it's the window rubbers that are causing problems. The technician that fitted the last one even said after being asked "whats the likelyhood of the next window you bring being correct?" Answer - "bout 50/50 mate" Tell you now, I would not be using Autoglass, unless my Insurance company insisted obviously. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
