Terminator
When fitting a peak and hold driver, should the resistor pack be removed? It makes sense to remove it as the extra resistance will slow the driver down by reducing the current to the injector. To keep things tidy I want to replace the Resistor pack with the P&H driver. Just need confirmation I have got this right.

TLicense
If it's the AEM peak and hold driver, then yes you would remove the ballast pack. I imagine it's the same for most others, but couldn't say for sure.
Terminator
Thanks Tony , it is what I thought, but can't find any info anywhere. I could ask on the AEM forum, but I may never get a reply.
dandan
Yes - resistor pack should be removed when fitted a dedicated flyback circuit like a peak/hold driver system. Does this PH driver have any software adjustment capability? In some ways the resistor pack is a bit of a crutch to make up for a lack of PH driver and was typical practice a decade or more ago for low imp injectors. It works fine though. However, the PH driver should help get those big injectors open a little faster
Krister
Do not fit an AEM peak & hold driver. It will melt your engine. Why do you need one anyway if running under 1000cc injectors? TLicense
Is that guarantee'd? Some injectors under 1000cc need a peak and hold driver to get a decent idle...
Gruggs
i've got a peak and hold driver on my 960cc rochester injectors. Needed to ensure the idle is smooth.
