SOLD........I got these tyres part worn a while ago for spares but now they're just in the way.

Pair of 275 35 19 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A.

They both have 6-7mm tread depth (approx 8mm new) and are worn evenly.

Both show a little sign of arch rub on the sidewall and one has a puncture repair. (see pics)

These are nearly £300 each new.

£100 for the pair collected or plus postage.

ahh well they must be happy with the wrong profile ;)

I don't remember anyone asking for tyre size advise in this thread as it is a FOR SALE thread.

Why do people see fit to try and sabotage for sale threads that have nothing to do with them.

But thanks for your input anyway. :p

as a member on here i am allways thankfull for advise, and as a longstanding member i think it would be pretty p**s poor of me to watch someone buy incorrect stuff for their car when i know its not exactly ideal, i pointed out the nearest to stock would be a 30 profile, if the buyer is happy when i have pointed the issues out then so be it, http://www.alloywheels.com/tyrecalc.asp

size guide for anyone interested

@ £100 I can burn them off on two track days, even if they gear the car up a little, who cares?, I'll still pass everything there on the straights. This talk of "correct offsets" and exact profile etc is a bit over zealous as we discovered at the center gravity talk.

each to their own mate i was just trying to point out the mistake in sizes, i suppose when your on 19's its the look your going for rather than decent handling so i suppose near enough will do

Thanks for the concern. IN many posts this help would have been ideal.

The story that Supra's wont handle on 19" is total rubbish. Too many 19" conversions were done by people who used the cheapest tyres, and 17" geometry. Often over lowered also.

Mine handles track and road superb, loads of grip followed by slow and progressive breakaway with a slight bias of oversteer.

Then again superlight forged rims vs heavyweight cheap cast wheels makes a big difference too. Heavy cast 19" say 14kg, with nankang or "sureslides" bolted on to a stock car will be awful. You wouldnt fit a single without a fuel kit would you? If I was asked by someone about changing to 19" I would advise 8 to 10kg forged wheels with the RE050A, height adjustable coilovers, new geometry and appropriate settings and make sure all the bushes are in decent condition.

There is a lot of theory on this subject but in practice it can work nicely if the budget is there to do it.

As I said, these tyres are just for burning off at the track, I currently run the 30's and they look like an elastic band. :)
