Steviekid
I subscripe to lovefilm and have started getting most films on Blu-ray. If I got a film on DVD that I thought my girlfriend would want to see I would rip it to the hard drive so I could send it back and get other stuff sent through in the meantime (I'm off work just now and have far too much time on my hands!). I'm having trouble doing this with blu-ray's though. I can get Anydvd to rip them to the hard drive but when I try and play the biggest file (around 35-40GB) with Power DVD the menus don't work. The two films I've tried this with also then appear to be 4-5 hours long(!). One played in a foreign language and the other seemed to have some sort of commentry instead of the real soundtrack. Anyone had any experience of doing this successfully?
Supragaz
A 'friend' of mine uses DVD Shrink to Rip a dvd onto hard drive then 'backup' onto a DVD. Never had any problems with this programme. HTH Gaz

Big Mark
Is the problem with Anydvd or power DVD? I play all my films on my pc using VLC it plays virtually anything. Might be worth a try.

Cheers, I've never heard of that. I've just tried it though and it's just the same. I've found a different program to rip them but it's taking bloody ages to do it. Carl
I have PowerDVD. I think 9 is the latest. apart from being able to play HD DVD & Blu ray it also allows you to rip a copy to your hard drive. Basically, you rip a copy as an ISO file. Beauty is this is one single file. You then install daemon tools which is a free download virtual drive which sits discreetly in your bottom tray. When ever you want to play your Blu-Ray, just double click on your ISO file and it will automatically open up on your Power DVD player and will look as if you had the original Blu-Ray disc in, eg all the menus, sound & functions in tact. I've been trying but not getting very far! Is it through the remix thing?
