He likes it, gets the hood down as soon as the suns out. Dont know what he gets mpg, but I dont think he's too bothered. Branners Posted April 15, 2009 Share Posted April 15, 2009 I had a vectra 2.2. There is a flaw in the engine where the timing chain (allegedly a lifetime part) snaps. Make sure that the timing chain is checked on the car. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jay_vr6 Posted April 15, 2009 Share Posted April 15, 2009 I had the 2.2 coupe, was a very smooth running car but tax went up to £210, was only 140bhp and felt slow, I used to get 27mpg and that was alot of short journeys. My mate brought it off me and he gets 33mpg with mixed driving, my foot has more lead in it than his. Timing chain likes to snap unless you have the updated tensioner, most have been done, be wary if its approaching 90K or past it. Also the egr valve plays up, easy to fix though.
