RobSheffield
Need to place a fuse (yes Brett, in a holder, i know!) in the extended live that runs forward from my relocated battery to the fusebox. Cheers. PS, alternatively i may look for a high Amperage circuit breaker type arrangement, believe i have seen that suggested before for the same application. jevansio
Rob, not sure if this helps, but seach for lightweight battery threads, there was something in one of them about the current draw on the starter motor (CCA - cold cranking amps???? does this sound like what you want to know?) I'll have a dig. Edit this thread is on about the stock cranking amperage being under 200A http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=156790&highlight=lightweight+battery Also it's on about info in the battery FAQ Edited January 17, 2009 by jevansio (see edit history)

Thanks mate on a boat with twin v8 mercruisers they use 200amp fuses on each engine initial peak will be mega but turnover should be well under 100 amps
