Dave17
Well, i've just done some Christmas shopping in Croydon in the Supe. Merrily coming along down to Purley and come up to a big roundabout with a building in the middle of it. I was only travelling at 25 as i go around the roundabout. The next thing i know the back end has overtaken the front and i'm in a lovely 360 degree spin :S Not sure what happened but thank God there was nobody behind or infront of me. The worst bit was I felt the back end start to slip, corrected with a bit of steering and a touch of power to keep it straight, and then the traction control bit in real hard. I think it was the TC that made it go for a full spin instead of a small drift. Maybe that was the Supe's Christmas present to me before she goes in the garage for the winter tonight! So, be careful chaps, they will bite at this time of the year!
tooquicktostop
Can I ask what rear tyres you have and what pressures you run them at ?
Dave17
Can I ask what rear tyres you have and what pressures you run them at ? They're at 36 psi all round, checked yesterday, just looked, they are Bridgestone Potenza G3's, 245 on the rears. Aero-M
sure standard ones are 265 on the rear maybe 255. I could be wrong, more than likely

Dave17
hmmm this is strange, stock 16's but the tyres definately say 245. Definately not NA It doesnt really worry me since i've thrown it very agressively around before and it's stayed planted, must have hit some oil or ice or something! Havard
I have 255's on the back and that didn't stop me sliding about earlier on about 20mph....... I don't drive the Supe every day and it's a good job too or I couldn't see me keeping it in one peice for long!! H.
Dave17
Oh my God! I just looked up the price for some new Potenza's nearly £186 a tire. Insanity!
TTRickeh
I had a brown trouser moment myself last night, coming off a roundabout, half throttle in 2nd so I get up to speed a bit, almost full throttle once I hit third and was going in a straight line, second turbo kicked in and the just twanged off to the left instantly but I managed to control it. I must admit I was trying to show off a bit in front of a sporty V8 merc but I soon tucked my tail between my legs, sailed past, and took the first exit! RiceRocket
Oh my God! I just looked up the price for some new Potenza's nearly £186 a tire. Insanity! It is a top end tyre. I'd recommend Toyos T1R for the compromise
Supra-Brett
All TT's had 255 stock rears Some NA's had 245 all round I think I think 17 inch wheels came with 255 rear, 235 front, and 16s came with 245 rear, 225 front, so as you have 16s thats the correct size
