Running another peformance car - Insurance

Hi all,

Im running the slightly silly notion that I may want another performance car to run alongside my Supra :)

Running costs/tax/servicing etc are not an issue. However, paying roughly the same as what I pay for my supra with 9 yrs NCB protected in insurance to insure another car with 0 NCB is not something I'm totally happy with.

Is there anyway I can get the insurance down on a 2nd performance motor?

Sky and others sometimes offer mirrored NCB, thats what I have on my second car

Im with A-Plan does anyone know if they do mirrored NCB?

Yes they will but they were not competitive on a bmw 320d i asked about and qouted me something like £1400 fully comp while my skyline gtr which was already insured with them was £800 fully comp!

They did qoute me £520 on a lexus rs200 though and basically they are very good on imports but there u.k dept is a seperate division and will rape you, so best to stick with an import.

thats the way it should be! There is no excuse for trying to insure a 320 BMW, especially a diesel :p Get a real car!! ;)

Lol! the bmw was only for my newborn to be driven round in as the nismo r-tune coilovers on my gtr a bit hard for him and the car is anti-social and loud, but he does fall asleep when the boost kicks in!:eyebrows:
